Introduction

The Centre for Foundation Studies (CFS) was founded in December 2011 with the goal of delivering exceptional education to pre-university students who aspire to enter undergraduate programs through an early admission route. Our foundation programs aim to cultivate the skills and abilities required for Level 4 and 3 certificates of the MNQF and equip students with competencies equivalent to university admission standards. Our programs have earned recognition and acceptance from prestigious higher education institutions both locally and internationally.

The Centre for Foundation Studies (CFS) offers highly successful programs that are augmented by academic skills modules taught by knowledgeable and experienced faculty. Our programs are crafted to provide students with specialized modules that deepen their academic expertise in specific areas of study, while also fostering an understanding and appreciation of fundamental core subjects. These courses will equip students with the essential knowledge and skills necessary for success in their future careers.

Deans Message

Welcome to the Centre for Foundation Studies (CFS) at Ë®¹ûÅÉ.

As the Director, I am honoured to be a part of a department that offers high-quality education for pre-university students who aspire to pursue undergraduate qualifications through an early entry route. The foundation programmes offered at the CFS aim to develop the aptitudes required by Certificate levels 4 and 3 of the Maldives National Qualification Framework (MNQF). These programs aim to build competencies comparable to the standards for university entry qualifications, and they have been recognised and accepted by well-renowned higher education institutions locally and internationally.

Our foundation programs are integrated with academic skills modules taught by highly qualified lecturers. Our mission is to deliver innovative, research-oriented educational practices that enhance students' intellectual capacity while developing their English proficiency, mathematical and general study skills. The modules are designed to foster the use of information technology as well as independent and collaborative learning among the learners. With these experiences, we are confident that our students will be well-prepared for higher education studies and meet the dynamic demands of local and international job markets.

I invite you to explore the numerous resources and opportunities available to you at the Centre for Foundation Studies. Our dedicated team is committed to providing unwavering support and guidance to ensure that your academic journey with us is both memorable and fruitful. As a testament to our dedication to delivering exceptional education, we are proud to have been awarded the prestigious Diamond award for excellence in quality - gold for the year 2021 by Ë®¹ûÅÉ.

Thank you for choosing to study at Ë®¹ûÅÉ, and we look forward to having you as part of our growing community.
