Studies for May 2019 semester commenced with the Welcoming and Orientation Session for May 2019. The Rector of Ë®¹ûÅÉ, Dr. Ahmed Anwar welcomed the new students and delivered a passionate and informative speech.In this session, certificates were awarded to students who received the Ë®¹ûÅÉ Scholarship for the year 2019 as well. Moreover, the Ë®¹ûÅÉ Alumni Association gave a presentation about student experiences in Ë®¹ûÅÉ. In addition, applications for the Ë®¹ûÅÉ Student Ambassador for 2019 was launched in this session.Furthermore, representatives from the Ministry of Higher Education provided information about the Government Free First Degree Scheme for the students. The new semester offered the opportunity to join 102 different courses from Certificate level 1 to Master's Degree programmes in different fields, including Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Management, Teaching, Education, Sharia, Law, Islam, Quran, Human Resource Management, Accounting, Public Health, Nursing, ACCA, Research, and Marine Studies.Among these, there are 13 Master's programmes, 6 Postgraduate Diploma/Certificate programmes, 21 Degree programmes, 20 Diploma programmes, 13 Certificate level 4 (Degree Foundation) programmes, 13 Certificate level 3 programmes, 2 Certificate level 2 programmes and 1 Certificate level 1 programme, as well as 8 programmes in Marine Studies.In addition to Ë®¹ûÅÉ's own programmes, these include Master's and Degree programmes from the prestigious university of the UK, University of the West of England.Besides studies commencing at the QI campus in Male', studies will be commencing at Ë®¹ûÅÉ Hithadhoo campus, Ë®¹ûÅÉ Naifaru campus, Ë®¹ûÅÉ Addu campus, Ë®¹ûÅÉ Kulhudhuffushi campus, Ë®¹ûÅÉ Lakeside campus (Sh. Fonadhoo), Ë®¹ûÅÉ L. Gan Campus, Ë®¹ûÅÉ Guraidhoo Campus and in Ë®¹ûÅÉ Mahibadhoo campus. Programmes will also commence in islands with Ë®¹ûÅÉ learning centres as well, namely: HA. Hoarafhushi, R. Alifushi, R. Maakurath, B. Eydhafushi, AA. Ukulhas, ADh. Maamigili, Dh. Kudahuvadhoo, N. Kendhokulhudhoo, F. Nilandhoo, HA. Dhihdhoo, B. Thulhaadhoo, Sh. Komandoo, R. Ungoofaaru, GA. Villingilli, and GDh. Gadhdhoo.Students will be able to make payments easily in monthly instalment basis, which is being practiced since September 2017. In addition, the students have the opportunity to study all the Degree Programs offered in Ë®¹ûÅÉ, through the Free First Degree Scheme by the government.
